Bowsette social media takeover

     You've probably seen several images of Bowsette this past few days and your social media page like Facebook is flooded by it. Who is Bowsette? Well, she's Bowser-turned-female thanks to the japanizing beam--lol, not really. It's thanks to the Super Crown she's wearing.

Super Crown

     Let's back up a bit to get the picture. What is the "Super Crown" you say? It's a new power-up from the game Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and when Toadette gets her hand on the said item, she turns into a look-alike of Princess Peach named "Peachette".

     That item ability gave Twitter user @ayyk92 the idea to make a comic strip where Bowser used the item after he and Mario got rejected by Princess Peach. I don't know if the two used the crown to make Peach jealous, but fans went crazy over the new lore.

The mayhem continues

     The madness didn't stop there as fans made their own rendition of the new fan-made character. Not only that, they've come up with other characters wearing the Super Crown like King Boo. Check out some of the notable fan art below:

Nintendo's reaction

     Despite the booming popularity of Bowsette, Nintendo has acknowledged the character, but has really no reaction to it. Searching the internet for answers, I found the only statement released by their representative: 

"Concerning the drawings and other things uploaded to the Internet, we have no comment".
